Curved Stairlifts – A Profile from Past to Present

Stairlift is not a new invention. However, unlike in the long past, it is now also used by the rank and files. It was invested during King Henry’s reign (he gets full credit to entrust his men with making the first stairlift). However, it was a manual driven model lacking in modern features.
Curved stairlifts are relatively a new version with more complexities in structure and needless to mention, a more advanced type. Even not so long ago, these models were most expensive but with the change in time, they have become comparatively cheaper a choice.

Installing a curved stairlifts are the most viable option for many households as well as high rises to relieve the residents and visitors from climbing up and down the stairs with hobbling gaits. Curved stairlifts are expensive than that of the straight models. This is mainly due to the technical work involved in order to customize the stairs.

Designing a curved stairlifts has become much easier. You can design a new model with CAD software (CAD is computer aided design). Furthermore, curved lifts are now custom-made implying that they are designed according to the customers’ specific requirements. The process of customization does not require much of time, labor and expenses as all these have been dramatically cut down due to software aided designing facilities.

Some well-known companies have introduced modular stairlifts and the footprints are now followed by others too. These models are less expensive and so can be easily afforded by many a household.
